“ Great place to go if you are looking for fresh oysters. Had the loaded baked oysters , shrimp and grits and the raw oysters, and they were all so good. I only wish I had known that it was cash only before I went there because I ended up not giving enough tip because the bill came out to 54 dollars and I ended up only giving around 6 dollars. ”
“ This is the best Oyster Bar in Panama City or Panama City Beach area! 100% worth the drive into the city from the beach! They have it all! Raw, the best quality and price! Baked, fried, sandwiches, sides! I reccomend the homemade clam chowder and any of the baked oysters if raw aren't your thing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is like stepping back in time. A true gem! Bring cash or there is an ATM on site. The staff was so amazing, they even made a special dessert just for me! We stop by every time we are in the are and I had oysters and clam chowder here 3 times this week plus an amazing slice of apple pie! Do not skip this stop! ”
“ Great oyster bar, excellent food. Frog legs, crab fingers, and tuna dip were amazing. ”
“ Very local diner style feel. Exactly what we were looking for. Good prices and great staff. Ordered the steamed shrimp, clam chowder, collar bone and fried shrimp basket. The shrimp was great! I've never had fried shrimp I liked, usually it's overly breaded this was perfect. Very lightly done. His puppies were also a surprise that we loved. Would've tried the frog legs if I would've seen the sign they had them, but didn't catch that until after we ordered. Cash only place so be prepared for that. I'd skip the clam chowder though it was very thin we couldn't even find a clam and barely any potatos, Flavor was great. ”
“ Best oysters I’ve had and I’ve been searching across the country for some good oysters. These Alabama (left) and Texas (right) oysters were properly briny and had a fresh and full texture. ”
“ Every city should have an oyster bar like Gene’s. Maybe 20 bar seats and amazing baked oysters. My brother wanted to take me there while visiting PCB. Some of the best baked oyster I’ve ever had. Simple butter Parmesan topping and cooked perfectly. We were told that their fried shrimp is amazing but we were just there for the oysters. ”
“ We just evacuated to PCB from Tampa, after a restless few days, I feel like I just left heaven. Everyone was so kind, and the oysters are FRESH! They shuck them right in front of you, and their homemade cocktail sauce was perfection. I hope to stop here again one day! ”
“ Beware! If your looking for a touristy place with a long wait and crisp linen napkins, this ain't it! But if you're looking for a tiny blue collar oyster bar with the best fresh shucked oysters, great fried fish and a cold beverage this is it! Absolutely loved it. No tables! Just stools at the counter. Felt like home. ”
